Since 1996, Pope John Paul II Assembly 2461 has served through patriotic observances, remembrance of veterans, parish participation, and fraternity. The photographs on this page preserve part of that history.

Assembly members participated in local Veterans Day observances in November 2025, honoring the service and sacrifice of those who served in the United States Armed Forces.

In 1998, Pope John Paul II Assembly 2461 erected a flagpole at Mount Calvary Cemetery in Lawrence beside the Memorial to the Unborn placed there by Knights of Columbus Council 1372 the previous year.

Father Charles Polifka of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church blessed the flagpole during its dedication. These photographs preserve one of the Assembly’s earliest documented acts of Catholic and patriotic service.
